About Grants Pass

Early Hudson’s Bay Company explorers, hunters and trappers following the Siskiyou Trail passed through Grants Pass in the 1820’s. The Grants Pass post office was established in 1865, and it’s said that name was selected to honor General Ulysses. S Grant’s success at Vicksburg. True to its motto “It’s the Climate” Grants Pass offers mild winters and dry summers. Situated in the beautiful Siskiyou Mountains, Grants Pass provides everything from boutique shopping and fine dining to jet boat rides and many family friendly public events.
